Well actually the 3rd time I have been there but the 2nd time on the blog..
This walk should be known as the p*** wet through walk!! as that is what a sorry looking me and Gary looked like at the end!
When we got there there were NO cars at the car park and we didnt see another human being for over 2 hours and 5 miles into the walk! we were the only ones stupid enough to be out in it!
It was very slippy and muddy and yes I managed to fall face forward onto the gravel! I bruised my shin,scraped my knee and made a big tear in my joggers but... i still wasnt so bad and we didnt let it get us too down!
Its still a nice area even in the wet and we had enough supplies of energy drinks,grapes and dry roasted peanuts to keep us happy ;0)
Not quite 'Bear Gryhlls- born survivor: Bowland Forest edition' but challenging enough!
Though what Gary's wife thought of him when he got home soaking wet is anyones guess!!! ;0)
